Meethi Tikiya Recipe:
Meethi Tikiya Recipe in urdu is Popular Pakistani cookies with sweet, crispy, and crunchy flavor. Perfect recipe to serve with tea time or in kids lunch box. Mostly people used to make this recipe in the Islamic month of Rajab.
Ingredients:
- 2 cup all-maida
- 1 cup semolina
- 1/4 cup ghee or oil
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1 tablespoons warm milk
- 2tbs sesame seeds
- 2tbs coconut powder
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-maida, semolina, ghee or oil, powdered sugar, baking powder, cardamom powder, and coconut powder.
- Mix well to form a dough using warm milk as required.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into small balls.
- Flatten the balls with your palms and use a rolling pin to shape them into rounds about 3-4 inches in diameter.
- Heat the oil for deep-frying in a pan on medium heat.
- Fry the flattened rounds, a few at a time, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Drain on a paper towel and serve warm with tea or coffee. Enjoy your meethi tikiya!
HOW TO STORE
You can make it in bulk and store it in an airtight glass container for about 15 days. Keep it at a cool place or temperature less than 30 degrees. Don’t forget to seal the container right after use otherwise it will be soggy due to atmospheric temperature.
